Thugs jailed after stabbing during flat break-in

A teenager was stabbed and a young man suffered an injury to his thumb after two men broke into a flat and attacked them. Sami Sarout and Ali Mohammed have been jailed for carrying out the violent attack on the evening of November 18, 2019, when they forced their way into a flat off Beechen Grove in Watford. St Albans Crown Court heard that once inside, Sarout produced a large knife and stabbed the first victim, a 16-year-old boy, twice in the arm. This caused a deep laceration which required an operation to repair it under general anaesthetic. Mohammed produced a kitchen knife before attempting to stab the second victim, a 20-year-old man, and a tussle ensued.

Reggie Sime (photo Herts Police) A teenager who carried out a series of “despicably cruel” attacks on taxi drivers by throwing a liquid at them has been jailed. Reggie Sime, 19, of no fixed address, targeted several taxi drivers for money in Watford in late September and early October last year by throwing ammonia in their faces. St Albans Crown Court heard how Sime’s crime spree began in the early hours of Monday, September 21, when he booked a taxi from an address in Norwich, Norfolk, to take him to Harris Road in Watford. On arrival, Sime exited the vehicle and approached the driver’s window to demand money.
