Een fel onweer heeft zaterdagavond op verschillende plaatsen in de provincie Antwerpen voor wateroverlast gezorgd. In Pulle bij Zandhoven kwam de Grensstraat onder water te staan, in Nijlen kreeg de brandweer tal van oproepen over ondergelopen straten en kelders en ook in Lier kwamen straten blank te staan, vooral in de wijk Lisp.
“Er waren onder meer problemen in de Predikherenlaan, de Waterpoortstraat en de Lispersteenweg”, zegt Magalie Derboven van de lokale politie
Lier. “Het water stond op sommige plekken tot aan de voordeur. We vragen mensen om er niet te gaan rondrijden, want door de golfslag kan het water in de huizen lopen. De brandweer is volop aan het pompen en het water begint weg te trekken, maar waakzaamheid is de komende uren geboden.”
