Lester B. Joy, 40, was sentenced by Judge Stefan R. Underhill in Bridgeport on Friday to serve 48 months in federal prison, followed by five years of supervised release. according to the U.S. Attorney’s office. Joy previously pleaded guilty on Nov. 3, 2020, to failing to register as a sex offender.

His court date was March 8. — WATERTOWN — Police report that they arrested Danielle Jette, 41, 1190 Litchfield Rd., Watertown at 1 p.m. March 3, for the charges of criminally negligent storage of a firearm, risk of injury to a minor and criminal liability for the acts of another/criminal possession of a firearm. The charges stem from the incident in which her children were shot and killed by Paul Ferguson in Watertown on December 3, 2019.  Ms. Jette was processed and released on a promise to appear in the Waterbury Superior Court at 9 a.m. March 16. Any further information will only be available through court documents after the arraignment.
