Vaccine one more defense for workers on frontlines of COVID-19
EMS workers such as those employed by Waterville-based Delta Ambulance now have a way of protecting themselves from infection as well as protecting their patients.

Emergency medical service workers in America face a daunting winter. The number of COVID-19 cases is surging as is the number of deaths caused by the virus. The expectation is that after the holidays the numbers will rise higher as people come together to celebrate despite warnings from medical professionals to stay apart.
Augusta Fire, Delta Ambulance, to administer COVID-19 vaccine to public safety workers
Officials expect to get vaccine this week and start giving it to public safety workers soon afterwards.
