(KSLA) Major damage is being reported as a result of storms that raked across the ArkLaTex the afternoon and evening of Monday, May 10.
One home was destroyed, roofs were ripped off others, vehicles and utility poles were damaged and trees were downed in Red River Parish, a law officer there told KSLA News 12.

For the second time this week, Shreveport-Bossier is projected to get slammed by severe storms. There s also a chance of tornadoes and hail to hit the area. However, there is SOME good news. In the original forecast, Shreveport-Bossier was in the Moderate Risk category, which basically means there s an increased chance of hair and tornadoes.
However, thankfully, our area was downgraded to an Enhanced Risk . Which means there s still a good chance that things will get rough.but the possibility of hail and tornadoes are greatly reduced. Which is good news for us, but not so good news for the Ruston area.

Tornado Watch Issued for Shreveport-Bossier, Much of NWLA

What s that old saying. April showers bring May flowers . Well, April is starting off with more than showers. Today, there s a strong chance of severe storms that include hail and tornadoes. In fact, the National Weather Service in Shreveport has issued a Tornado Watch for our area until 8 pm this evening.
A tornado watch has been issued for our entire forecast area until 8 PM CDT.
