Delhi s air quality remained in the poor category on Friday, as per System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting And Research. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted a maximum temperature of 16 degrees Celsius and a minimum temperature of 3 degrees Celsius in the national capital today. The overall air quality of the national capital was recorded at 235 at around 8:15 am while the AQI in various parts of the city remained in the poor category. According to the System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting and Research s (SAFAR) prediction yesterday, cold day conditions are likely to slow down after that. Better ventilation conditions are likely to continue for the next two days and likely to continue for the next two days and likely to decrease thereafter, as per SAFAR.

New Delhi: The air quality of the national capital remained in the poor category on Friday as the overall AQI was recorded at 235. The concentration of PM10 and PM2.5 pollutants slightly dipped on Friday and as a result, the AQI fell down from 252 to 235.
According to the System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting And Research (SAFAR), the concentrations of the particulate matter (PM) with a diameter of 10 and 2.5 microns stood at 175, which falls in the moderate category and 101, which falls in the poor category.

Key Highlights
The concentrations of major pollutants such as PM10 and PM2.5 were recorded at 160 ( moderate category) and 90 ( poor category) respectively.
Several areas such as Anand Vihar, Ashok Vihar, and Chandni Chowk recorded very poor air quality.
Meanwhile, the quality of air in Lodhi Road stood in the moderate zone.
New Delhi: The quality of air in Delhi deteriorated to the ‘poor’ category on Wednesday morning as the city’s overall Air Quality Index (AQI) soared to 201, according to Ministry of Earth Science s air quality monitor, System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting And Research (SAFAR). The city had recorded an AQI of 108 (‘moderate’ category) on Tuesday morning.

A meeting was held here & it was decided that checking will begin & pillion riders will have to wear a helmet too otherwise they ll be penalised or driving license of the driver will be cancelled. It s already provided by law & will now be strictly implemented.
