It was found at 10:15 a.m. 20 yards from shore in the beach and swimming area. The Iowa DNR said foul play does not appear to be a factor. The body was transported to the Iowa Office of the State Medical Examiner for an autopsy.

Officers said they received reports that the man had already discharged shots inside his home. According to radio traffic, the man s wife walked to a neighbor s house for help after her husband fired a gun twice in the house. The neighbor called 911. Radio traffic details more of what was said in the 911 call. He has a handgun. Now saying she heard a shot as she was walking to the neighbors, a dispatcher said.
