WARREN A week and a half after a fire in the midnight hour on May 8 ravaged four units and damaged four more at the Warren Manor Apartments, an investigation into the cause remained ongoing at press time.
“They sent samples to the Michigan State Police,” Warren Fire Commissioner Skip McAdams said on May 18. He said three samples were collected in a bedroom of a second-floor unit at the apartment complex, on the east side of Dequindre Road south of Nine Mile Road.
The room, which was described as the room of origin, reportedly had very little furniture in it when the fire broke out. McAdams said the occupant left for Tennessee right after the fire. He added that she did speak to investigators by phone.
