Breaking down a year s worth of Cohasset COVID-19 data

Breaking down a year s worth of Cohasset COVID-19 data Wicked Local Last month, Massachusetts reached one year since the state declared it was in a health crisis and went into lockdown as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. In the time since, terms like “masking up,” “social distancing,” “PCR tests,” and “vaccine eligibility” have become commonplace in our vernacular. On Monday, all adults across Massachusetts became eligible for the vaccine. This comes in the same week that the state passes another anniversary one year of the Department of Public Health’s COVID-19 data tracking. The DPH released its first town-by-town breakdown of COVID prevalence on April 22, 2020. Cohasset, which was the first town outside of Boston to report a positive coronavirus case, had 15 total cases in town at that point.

Taunton mayor asks state to make city regional COVID vaccination site

Susannah Sudborough and Michael DeCicco/The Taunton Daily Gazette TAUNTON  Taunton-area municipalities are taking action in the wake of Gov. Baker s decision to stop giving vaccines for distribution to most municipalities in Massachusetts. Concerned that too few people in Taunton and Bristol County have had a chance to be vaccinated, this week, Taunton Mayor Shaunna O Connell wrote Massachusetts Secretary of Health and Human Services Marylou Sudders urging her to consider increasing vaccine opportunities for Tauntonians.  The Weekly Vaccination Report posted on Thursday, February 18th contains alarming information. In the entire state, Bristol County has the lowest number of vaccine doses shipped by percentage of county population, O Connell wrote.
