WEST WARWICK â After 27 years working in law enforcement for the Town of West Warwick, Col. Mark Knott will officially be wearing a new hat come the end of the month.Â
The West Warwick Town Council voted unanimously during its meeting last Tuesday night to adopt an ordinance naming Knott the town manager and director of public safety, before also voting unanimously to approve a three-year employment contract.Â
Knott, who has been serving as interim town manager since Ernest Zmyslinski resigned from the post last fall, promised in his new role to âmake well thought-out decisionsâ that will serve the town well.
