NMC to investigate ‘incredibly discriminatory’ email sent by practice nurse
The Nursing and Midwifery Council has launched an investigation into an “unacceptable” email in which a nurse appears to comment on the nationality of another nurse who had applied to work in their general practice, following a wave of upset and concern voiced by the profession.
The daughter of a nurse took to social media over the weekend to expose what she described as an “unprofessional, prejudice and incredibly discriminatory” response her mother had received to a job application at Coventry and Warwickshire Clinical Commissioning Group.
“We will work with the employer and the individuals involved to ensure the right support is provided and the appropriate action is taken”
