As the Government attempts to launch its red list quarantine scheme, documents seen by us reveal ministers have asked hotel bosses to be ready to accommodate 1,425 passengers a day by Feb 15. Returning travellers will be quarantined in rooms for 11 nights at a cost of up to £800 a person, with security guards on all floors and guests expected to clean their own rooms.
