Noelle speaks to artists about mental health as part of NI Mental Health Arts Festival

FERMANAGH artist and arts ambassador Noelle McAlinden is hosting a special edition of her new series, ‘The Art of Conversation’, as part of the upcoming NI Mental Health Arts Festival (NIMHAF). The aim of the festival is to spark inspiring and challenging conversations about mental health issues, fighting stigma and promoting wellbeing via active creativity. This year’s NIMHAF festival, which Noelle is a Board member of, will run from May 10 to 16 to coincide with Mental Health Awareness Week, and will feature a programme of varied, vivid arts events that aim to create a platform for high-quality artwork that deals compassionately and intelligently with mental health.

Reporter: );   ); People from Derry working in the creative economy have benefited from a new round of emergency funding from the Arts Council of Northern Ireland. The Arts Council, on behalf of Department for Communities (DfC) and in collaboration with Future Screens NI, has announced details of 1,562 individuals working in the creative economy, who are set to benefit from £6,910,794 of emergency funding. The money is for sectors which have been severely impacted by the pandemic.
