WASHINGTON, D.C. The Federal Emergency Management and the Federal Communications Commission will be conducting a national test next week.
On Wednesday, August 11th, a test of Wireless Emergency Alerts and the Emergency Alert System will be conducted at 11:20am.
The alert will conducted on TV and radio, but those wishing to participate in the phone test will need to opt in.
The rest is similar to the one the Washington Emergency Management Division did with ShakeAlert in King, Thurston and Pierce counties in February.
