ALBANY - There s a lot of work going on at the Washington Avenue Armory in Albany.
Some people are actually getting shots there Tuesday as a run-through of sorts, the day before it officially becomes a FEMA mass vaccination site.
Robert Premus is the FEMA site lead. We ve seen a lot of good feedback from the community here, folks thanking us for being here, said Premus. We re just happy to be here to serve.
At the site, they can even help make appointments for future dates.
For one week, people in 11 zip codes in Albany, Schenectady, and Rensselaer counties can get vaccinated at the Armory site. After that, it opens up to all eligible residents of those counties, and they can start making appointments Wednesday morning on the state website.
