A traffic stop on I-15 in southern Utah led to the arrest of an Orem man after officers found a large amount of methamphetamine and heroin in a spare tire.

U.S. Marshals on Wednesday arrested a man wanted on charges of selling drugs that resulted in an overdose death in Washington County, officials said.
Sherman Springer, known as “Detroit Shawn,” 48, had been on the run as a fugitive for more than seven months, since he was charged in late June in connection to the death of another person on April 15 in the city of Washington, court records show. He now is being held on $150,000 bail at Washington County Prison.
Officials did not disclose the name of the person who died after taking narcotics sold by Springer.
