Josh Duggar pleaded not guilty to charges of possession of child pornography in court on Friday, one day following his arrest.
The hearing, which was held virtually over Zoom in the Western District of Arkansas, began at 11 a.m. CT. Duggar appeared from jail and was seen smiling before the hearing kicked off. He was represented by Arkansas attorney Travis W. Story.
The United States Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Arkansas confirmed the 33-year-old former 19 Kids and Counting star has been charged with receiving and possessing material depicting the sexual abuse of children.

19 Kids and Counting was arrested on currently unknown charges. He was taken into custody Thursday afternoon and is currently being held in an Arkansas jail.
According to Duggar s detainee profile, the father-of-six is being held without bond by a federal agency at the Washington County Detention Center in Fayetteville.

Clackamas County deputies have taken more than 12,000 fentanyl pills off the streets in 2021. Anyone who gets pills from anywhere other than a pharmacy should assume they re counterfeit and contain deadly amounts of fentanyl, said tri-county health officer Dr. Jennifer Vines.
Vines says the smallest amount of fentanyl, a man-made version of morphine, can be deadly. So far this year the Westside Inter-Agency Narcotics Team in Washington County has investigated 14 overdose deaths. Ten of those are linked to counterfeit drugs containing fentanyl. In the same timeframe in 2020 we investigated three, said Sgt. Danny DiPietro of the Washington County Sheriff s Office. In 2019 in that same time frame we investigated only one.

In a report from the Washington County Sheriff s Office, it has been revealed that Duggar was arrested on Thursday. The U.S. Marshals were also present during the arrest, hinting at a federal level of charges.
Still, the exact charges he received remains unknown. However, Fox News mentioned that the Washington County Sheriff s office clarified that Duggar s arrest was not their case.
The only definite thing about the recent capture is that the authorities hold the 33-year-old reality TV star without bail.
