PARKERSBURG Wood County Magistrate Court released the following reports Feb. 2: Travis Wayne Chichester, 29, 1229 22nd St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of burglary and grand larceny and was released on a $8,000 surety bond. Joannie Lynn Davis, 55, 916 14th St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a battery charge and was released on a $500 surety bond. Ronnie Lee Lockhart, 50, 1009 Broadway Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of battery and possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, and was released on a $3,000 surety bond. Anthony Bruce Wade, 18, 104 Grady Drive, Walker, was arraigned on charges of improper disposal and mandatory proof of disposal and was released on a $1,000 personal recognizance bond.
UPDATE: Three people dead, including suspect, after home invasion near Kewaskum
UPDATE: In their latest press release Wednesday night, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office says they found a second victim killed by an apparent gunshot wound.
That person was found as SWAT officers searched the area surrounding the home where the initial call came in for the suspect.
In total, three people are dead; one victim died at two separate residences, and the suspect after exchanging gunfire with law enforcement.
“It is a sad day for the citizens of Washington County,” says Sheriff Martin Schulteis. “On behalf of the sheriff’s office, we would like to extend our deepest condolences to the victims’ families of this senseless crime. The Washington County Sheriff’s Office is dedicated to providing whatever resources are necessary to provide the families with as much information and closure as we possibly can.”

U.S. Marshals on Wednesday arrested a man wanted on charges of selling drugs that resulted in an overdose death in Washington County, officials said.
Sherman Springer, known as “Detroit Shawn,” 48, had been on the run as a fugitive for more than seven months, since he was charged in late June in connection to the death of another person on April 15 in the city of Washington, court records show. He now is being held on $150,000 bail at Washington County Prison.
Officials did not disclose the name of the person who died after taking narcotics sold by Springer.

MADISON, Wis. Elroy “Roy” Stern was erroneously suspected of planning to “cause problems” on Inauguration Day by an anonymous informant. The unnamed tipster’s proof, it seems, is that Stern was at the spring protests against Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers’ statewide lockdowns, according to an incident report.
As Wisconsin Spotlight reported, the 73-year-old Vietnam War veteran from Hustisford was working at his home Saturday when he was approached by three deputies from the Dodge County Sheriff’s Department. He said he got the sense he was being questioned as some kind of suspected domestic terrorist or insurrectionist, descriptors used by liberal politicians and news outlets in the wake of the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol.
