KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Due to the rapidly increasing number of positive cases of COVID-19 in Kalamazoo and surrounding Michigan communities, Kalamazoo Public Library (KPL) announced Wednesday that it will be offering curbside service only at all five locations beginning Monday, April 12. Â
KPL provided the following information to WKZO. Patrons should review the following information before making a visit.
What Patrons Need To KnowÂ
All KPL locations will be closed Thursday, April 8 – Saturday, April 10. Curbside service will NOT be available.

All KPL locations will reopen on Monday, April 12 providing curbside service ONLY. All KPL buildings will be closed to in-person access and services until further notice. Public restrooms, printing, copying, and faxing services will not be available.
Kalamazoo Public Library (KPL) will be reopening all library locations with limited access Monday, March 8. Curbside service will continue to be offered at all locations. Each location will only allow 25% of building capacity at one time, per a press release from KPL.
KPL is asking for patrons to abide by the requirements set when visiting their locations. This includes requiring all visitors to wear a mask, enforcing social distancing and allowing for a one hour maximum to browse, use the computer or check out materials.Â
Those experiencing COVID-19 related symptoms are asked to not enter. Hand sanitizer and wipes will be available and All KPL buildings are routinely cleaned by KPL staff.Â
