The widower of Ashi Babbitt, the Air Force veteran who was murdered by a Capitol Police officer on January 6th, has filed a lawsuit seeking to finally uncover the name of the guilty officer, the
Aaron Babbitt filed the lawsuit in the Washington D.C. Superior Court, demanding all information related to his wife’s murder, including video footage and statements from witnesses to the incident, in addition to seeking the identity of the officer who fired the fatal shot. Separately from this lawsuit, Babbitt’s family has filed a wrongful death lawsuit for $12 million against the Capitol Police, according to the Babbitt family’s attorney Terry Roberts.

Teenager Who Murdered An Uber Driver Will Be Out By 21, If Not Earlier
One of the teenagers who pled guilty to murdering an UberEats delivery driver is going to be able to walk free by her 21st birthday.
Claire Huber, a spokeswoman for the Washington D.C. Superior Court, said Tuesday the 15-year-old girl will be held in a juvenile facility until the age of 21, but might get out sooner if deemed rehabilitated. The D.C. Attorney General’s Office dropped other charges in exchange for her pleading guilty to felony murder.
The killing of Mohammed Anwar in a March 23 carjacking made national headlines upon its graphic footage being released. The 66-year-old Springfield, Va., resident died after the 15-year-old and a 13-year-old dragged him while taking the vehicle. The car flipped and Anwar went flying on the sidewalk. Anwar was assaulted with a Taser. The 13-year-old girl was likewise charged with felony murder, in addition to other crimes. A verdict has not been rendered.

Facebook left dozens of anti-Muslim pages and groups online, lawsuit alleges

Facebook chief executive Mark Zuckerberg was “making false and deceptive statements” when he told Congress that the company removes content that violates its hate-speech rules, a lawsuit alleges.
The suit, filed Thursday in Washington D.C. Superior Court, alleges that since 2017, civil rights groups and other experts have brought hundreds of anti-Muslim groups and pages on the platform to Facebook’s attention, but that the company has failed to penalize more than half of them.
