SEC Chair Gensler Announces Policy Team Gary Gensler’s policy staff under Director Heather Slavkin Corzo. Corporation Finance Counsel Corey Klemmer was an analyst at the AFL-CIO’s Office of Investment. Klemmer graduated cum laude from Amherst College with a B.A. in Law, Jurisprudence, and Social Thought and earned her J.D. from Tulane University Law School. She is a barred attorney in New York and is a CFA charter holder. Trading and Markets Counsel Adam Large oversees major securities market participants, especially broker-dealers and security-based swaps. He has held several other positions at the SEC and also worked at FINRA. Large received his B.A. from University of Iowa and his J.D. from Washington University in St. Louis.

Kirk Foster takes on new position as ECU School of Social Work director

East Carolina University College of Health and Human Performance has received a new director of the School of Social Work, Kirk Foster, who hopes to grow the program through outreach and research. Foster said he undertook his new position on July 1 and began in the field of social work as a church pastor in Ferguson, Missouri. After receiving his master’s in social work from Washington University in St. Louis Missouri, and finding a passion for research in social work, he pursued his doctorate of philosophy in social work as well.  After he worked at the University of South Carolina as a professor and as Associate Dean for Diversity and Inclusion for 10 years, Foster said he began to look for new opportunities. He said ECU provided an opportunity in that the school has potential for growth in its undergraduate program, as well as its presence in the community and research opportunities.
