Argyris Stringaris, MD, PhD, FRCPsych is a Senior Investigator at NIMH who researches and treats depression and related conditions in young people. He is also Professor of Clinical Psychiatry at Georgetown University. He trained in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry at the Maudsley Hospital in London and received his PhD from the Institute of Psychiatry, King’s College London. He served as an Attending Physician (Consultant Psychiatrist) at the National and Specialist Mood Disorder Clinic at the Maudsley and was a Senior Lecturer at the Institute of Psychiatry. He held an advanced Wellcome Trust fellowship and his research was funded by the National Institute of Health Research and the UK Biomedical Centre. CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - About 55 percent of the people vaccinated in north Carolina are women. In South Carolina, about 57 percent of the people vaccinated are women. But health officials know there are still some women who are hesitant to get the vaccine because of concerns that it will affect their chance at having a family.
Recently, there have been several anecdotal reports of women who say they noticed changes in their menstrual cycles after getting the COVID-19 vaccine.

Fund will provide students with resources ‘to thrive at WashU’

Washington University in St. Louis alumnus and emeritus trustee John Dains has made an $8 million commitment to support an undergraduate student success fund at his alma mater, announced Chancellor Andrew D. Martin.
The endowed fund, to be called the Stephanie Brooks Dains and John Dains Student Success Fund, is named for Dains and his late wife, Stephanie Brooks Dains, also a graduate of Washington University. It dramatically increases funding available to help students with financial need cover emergency and educational enrichment expenses.
Vikram Solar appoints Milind Kulkarni as CTO

Domestic solar manufacturer Vikram Solar Ltd on Thursday said it has appointed Milind Kulkarni as its new CTO.
Kulkarni will play a key role in product and technology development and manufacturing, the firm said in a statement. He holds a PhD in chemical engineering and an MBA from Washington University in St. Louis, and has worked for over two decades in related roles.
Kulkarni will fill the position that had been vacant since Ivan Saha left the firm to join ReNew Power in July last year.
