Fatal Salisbury pedestrian crash under investigation
The Wicomico County Sheriff s Office is investigating a Thursday night crash that killed a woman who was attempting to cross Route 13 on foot.
The crash happened at about 8:43 p.m. at the intersection of West Ruark Drive and Route 13. Officers from the Salisbury Police Department and deputies from the Wicomico County Sheriff s Office arrived at the scene within minutes because they had been handling another crash just a short distance away.
A news release shows the sheriff s office Collision Reconstruction Unit was requested to assist and the investigation determined a 2010 Chevy Traverse driven by Heath Miller of Princess Anne hit the victim as she tried to cross the southbound side of the highway.

SALISBURY, Md. – Police in Wicomico County are asking for the public’s help in locating a tractor that was stolen Sunday evening.
At around 7:30 p.m., deputies responded to a residence in the 200 block of Morris Mill Road for a report of a theft that had just occurred. Deputies learned that an unknown suspect stole a blue and white New Holland model TC35A tractor from underneath a carport on the property. The tractor is equipped with a 16LA loader that has a black bucket attached with bolt-on forks, bolted to the bucket.
We’re told the victim learned of the theft from a neighbor who witnessed parts of the incident. The tractor was reportedly loaded onto a trailer pulled by a dark-colored pickup truck and hauled away.
