Four cases have emerged in the city of Whittlesea after two family contacts of the cases reported earlier on Monday morning tested positive for the virus. The health minister said genomic sequencing was underway which would give greater clarity on the source of the four new cases and whether they were linked to a case which emerged from hotel quarantine in South Australia in May.

Mr Foley announced the JUMP! swim school in Bundoora on May 21 between the times of 8:55am and 10:15am as a tier one site. Anyone who has been to this site during those hours is required to immediately seek testing, isolate, and quarantine for 14 days. Highpoint shopping centre in Maribyrnong on May 20 from the hours of 5pm to 8pm has been listed as tier two, meaning anyone who has visited during those hours must immediately isolate, get tested, and stay isolated until further notice.
