Six Nations Elected Council deferred a motion from the Business and Infrastructure committee to put paving Sixth Line Rd. at the top of public works priority list at their meeting on January 26. “I’d prefer to take a second look at this also and have some explanations,” Councillor Melba Thomas said. “Seventh Line Road was to be paved years and years ago.” Some councillors were unsure what list the committee was referring to as many had never seen the list from public works. The Six Nations Business and Infrastructure committee passed a motion at its meeting Wednesday morning to make fixing Sixth Line Road, between Chiefswood and Seneca Roads a priority, whether that be paving it, or chipping and tarring it, after Rod Whitlow gave a delegation asking for solutions.
