The then government appealed that adoption of a new power but the Supreme Court agreed with the earlier decision. And hey presto - slightly different constitutional landscape.

Victoria University partners with the Communications University of Zhejiang for overseas learning

Students from CUZ in the Chinese city of Hangzhou will be taught online by staff from the Wellington Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences from this September as part of an undergraduate degree joint programme majoring in Intercultural Communication. The objectives are to give Chinese students access to “world-class scholars” in humanities research, learning and teaching.

Environmental consultancy firm ENGEO were analysing samples taken from 10 bores on the site, and specialist Dr Matt Ryan soon realised there were telltale signs of internationally significant geological events. Ryan has a Ph.D from Victoria University of Wellington in geology focusing on analysing paleo vegetation and saw in one of the samples what appeared to be evidence of supervolcanic ash.
