Posted By: George Lawson March 4, 2021 @ 3:36 pm Local News, News A Wichita man has been charged with attempted second degree murder, cruelty to animals and aggravated domestic battery for attacking his girlfriend with a sword. 41-year-old James E. Brown appeared in court Thursday.   He is charged in an early morning incident Tuesday in the 1500 block of North New York.   Police said a 41-year-old woman had a severe laceration to her hand and back,, and her dog had been stabbed several times.    The woman and the dog are expected to make a full recovery. Police said Brown and his girlfriend got into an argument, and he is accused of grabbing a five-to-six-foot sword and attacking the woman and her dog.   Brown was arrested the next day.
