Work load on doctors and nurses has also come down
The marginal drop in COVID patient load at government hospitals has brought down distress calls and work load on doctors, nurses, and other Health Care Workers (HCW). While ICU beds in hospitals continue to be full, hundreds of oxygen beds are available at hospitals for the last few days.
Earlier, doctors, nurses and other Health Care Workers (HCW) were completely occupied in the 8-12 hour shifts. Now, the work load has dropped marginally. Nodal officers at major government hospitals said that distress calls at late nights too, have come down.

Authorities of the Telangana Institute of Medical Sciences (TIMS) have denied allegations of the death of eight COVID-19 patients reportedly due to lack of oxygen supply.
It was reported that eight patients in an ICU of the institute died on Sunday night. Top officials denied the allegations, and said the Liquid Oxygen Tank (LOT) has enough of the resource.
TIMS director Vimala Thomas said on Tuesday the deaths were part of natural progression of the disease and complications, and not due to shortage of oxygen. She added that there was no disruption to oxygen supply.
COVID-19: Police set up help desks at Gandhi, TIMS

Hyderabad: In a bid to keep the family members of COVID-19 patients admitted into the hospitals informed, city police on Thursday set up help desks at state-run Gandhi and Telangana Institute of Medical Sciences (TIMS).
The help centers were set up by the police in coordination with the medical and municipal administration departments.
The help desk has been set up for family members of COVID-19 patients being treated at Gandhi and TIMS, level-1 COVID-19 hospitals, where they can get the health status and other details of the patients through the centre, officials said.
