It has also submitted a revival plan and its financial documents to the private bank. Ajay Singh-led SpiceJet has submitted the restructuring proposal per the guidelines issued by the KV Kamath committee and announced by the RBI in September. “In an emailed communication to YES Bank, SpiceJet proposed a one-time debt restructuring under RBI guidelines to stay afloat. It will also require ₹500 crore of working capital. Its top management has had a meeting with the Aviation Minister for consideration (of the requests),” said a source.

The Airports Authority of India - Cargo Logistics &Allied Services Company Ltd, has given in-principle approval for conversion of the old passenger terminal into the cargo handling section. Hubballi Airport Director Pramod Kumar Thakre has stated that the upcoming cargo terminal shall have secured storage space for both inbound and outbound cargo, a dedicated room for valuables and dangerous goods, along with provision for commercial space that can be utilised by airlines, major freight forwarders/logistics players like postal authorities and e-commerce players. The 700 square metre cargo terminal shall have annual cargo holding capacity 15,000 MT, he said.

Representative image VADODARA: A youth living in Dabhoi was conned of Rs 1.8 lakh from a man who promised him job at Ahmedabad airport in August. The complainant Nikhil Patel told police that a person who identified himself Atul Sharma called him on August 27 and told that he is an HR officer of Airports Authority of India (AAI) working in Delhi. Patel was told that AAI was looking for young men ready to work at Ahmedabad airport. When Patel, who is trained as electrician from ITI, showed readiness, he was told to transfer Rs 1,500 as placement fee. After transferring the money on September 7, he was asked to pay money for uniform, mobile phone, transportation and food. Within next few days, Patel ended up paying Rs 1.8 lakh. However, he did not receive an appointment letter and whenever he asked Sharma, he kept making excuses. After dilly dallying for weeks, Sharma stopped answering Patel’s phone.
