WINDSOR LOCKS, Conn. Passenger volumes through Bradley International Airport fell 64% in 2020, and the airport said Tuesday the numbers are still running 65% to 70% lower in 2021 compared with pre-pandemic numbers.
Bradley, which serves the Greater Hartford and Western Massachusetts markets, had more than 6.7 million enplanements and deplanements meaning passengers coming and going in 2019. Last year the number fell to 2.4 million.
In the beginning of 2020 before COVID-19 related shutdowns Bradley was on pace for a strong year. Passenger traffic was running 3.6% higher in January 2020 compared with January 2019, and 6.8% higher in February 2020 compared with February 2019.
