Brazil’s Loft adds $100M to its accounts, $700M to its valuation in a single month
Zach Frenkel, co-founder of digital mortgage startup Better, also put money in the round
Nearly exactly one month ago, digital real estate platform Loft announced it had closed on $425 million in Series D funding led by New York-based D1 Capital Partners. The round included participation from a mix of new and existing investors such as DST, Tiger Global, Andreessen Horowitz, Fifth Wall and QED, among many others.
At the time, Loft was valued at $2.2 billion, a huge jump from its being just near unicorn territory in January 2020. The round marked one of the largest ever for a Brazilian startup.
Ultra-long-range jet surpasses 1,100 hours of testing.
The Gulfstream G700 has been tested up to 54,000 feet and speeds of Mach 0.99.

Gulfstream Aerospace said in a news release on April 15 that flight testing on its newest aircraft, the ultra-long-range G700, had surpassed the 1,100-hour mark in its first year of testing. In addition to the five test aircraft currently flying, the flight-test program now includes a fully completed production test aircraft to evaluate the interior elements throughout the aircraftâs up to five living areas, including all-new seating and Gulfstreamâs new ultrahigh-definition circadian lighting system. The G700 interior also features a galley with more than 10 feet of counter space, a grand suite with an optional shower, a six-place conference and dining table, 20 panoramic windows and the Gulfstream Cabin Experience with 100 percent fresh, never recirculated air, low cabin altitude, and whisper-quiet noise levels.

The hospital ship Mercy just welcomed the tiltrotor aircraft that will serve as the Navy s next carrier delivery platform onto its deck for the first time.
The Navy last week began flight deck tests with the V-22 Osprey off the coast of Southern California, marking the first time a V-22 variant has landed on a Military Sealift Command, or MSC, hospital ship.
