Subscriber only A man in his 40s was airlifted to hospital on Sunday afternoon after he was injured in a motorbike accident at Rainbow Beach. Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics were first on scene at 3:32pm and treated the rider for chest and back injuries. The Sunshine Coast-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter was called to the beach, north east of Gympie, just after 4:15pm. Subscriber only The Sunshine Coast-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter has flown a teenage girl to hospital after she was thrown from a horse in the South Burnett. The aeromedical crew was tasked to a private property just after 3pm this afternoon. The RACQ LifeFlight Rescue Critical Care Doctor and the Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) Flight Paramedic worked with local QAS personnel to treat the rider. She suffered multiple injuries, including a possible head injury. The rescue crew flew the girl to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.

Subscriber only IT WAS a busy day for LifeFlight rescue helicopter, with two call outs to the same motocross track in the South Burnett. Toowoomba s RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter last night airlifted a rider, after he was injured while attempting a jump. The chopper was called to the scene, off Manar road in Boondooma, at 7.20pm last night. The aeromedical crew worked with Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics at the scene, to treat the man for multiple suspected fractures. He was then loaded into the aircraft and flown to Toowoomba Hospital, under the care of an RACQ LifeFlight Rescue Critical Care Doctor and QAS Flight Paramedic.
