HO CHI MINH CITY (Vietnam News/ANN): More and more agriculture and aquaculture businesses are setting up their own farms rather than rely on imports for raw materials.
TH Group has for instance been building a hi-tech dairy cow farm and milk processing plant in An Giang Province since the end of February.
When completed, it will be the largest closed-loop dairy cow farming project in the Mekong delta with around 10,000 cows.
Other dairy companies too have been investing in farms, boosting raw milk production by 12.9 per cent last year to 1.1 million tonnes.

HANOI (Vietnam News/ANN): More than six tonnes of fresh vegetable from Hải Dương Province were sold after just one day they went online from March 9.
It was the first day after the Trade Promotion Department worked with the local e-commerce site of Sendo to launch a programme called national trade promotion booth to support the selling of agricultural products of Hải Dương and other localities facing difficulties due to social distance from Covid-19.

HANOI (Vietnam News/ANN): Vietnam has called on relevant parties in Myanmar to restrain themselves and hold dialogues to find a satisfactory solution in line with the nation’s Constitution and law, as well as the will and aspirations of the Myanmar people, thereby facilitating the democratic process.
A Vietnamese representative made the call while attending a meeting of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) on Wednesday (March 10).
The representative emphasised the need to end violence, stabilise the situation and ensure safety for civilians.
Vietnam also informed participants on Asean’s efforts in promoting dialogue and seeking a solution to the issue, adding that Asean is willing to assist Myanmar in a goodwill manner and in accordance with the purposes and principles of the Asean Charter.
