Hanoi-HCM City - world’s second busiest route According to the Centre for Asia-Pacific Aviation (CAPA), the Hanoi-HCM City is the world’s second busiest route in terms of seat capacity, just after Seoul-Jeju in the Republic of Korea. Connecting Vietnam’s two economic hubs, the route has played an important role in the business operations of the Vietnam Airlines Group (comprising Vietnam Airlines, Pacific Airlines, and the Vietnam Air Services Company) as well as the country’s political, economic, cultural, and tourism events.

Vietnam Airlines Group has called an extraordinary shareholders’ meeting next week to source low-interest loans to accelerate Covid-19 recovery.
At the meeting, to be held on Dec. 29, the flag carrier will seek loans from its shareholders that comprise the government with an over 86 percent stake, Japanese aviation company ANA Holdings with 8.7 percent, and other organizations and individuals.

Vietnam Airlines Group to offer 2.4 million seats for upcoming Tet National flag carrier Vietnam Airlines, budget carrier Jetstar Pacific and Vietnam Air Services Company (VASCO) will supply over 414,000 extra seats from January 27 to February 26, 2021 to serve increasing travel demands during peak season of Tet (Lunar New Year) holiday.
This will bring the total seats on flights operated by the Vietnam Airlines Group during the traditional holiday to 2.4 million seats, equivalent to nearly 12,000 flights.
The group said many flights have been 50-90 percent booked.
Passengers are advised to book tickets via the group’s official channels such as websites or ticket agents, and request an invoice to avoid buying fake or overpriced tickets.
