New Delhi, Dec 21: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to hold a virtual meeting with his Vietnamese counterpart Nguyen Xuan Phuc on Monday to discuss the strategic partnership between the two countries. According to reports, both leaders are expected to have discussions on defence, energy, healthcare and development partnership.

Ahead of the meeting, the Prime Minister s Office (PMO) released an official statement saying, During the Summit, the two leaders will exchange views on wide-ranging bilateral, regional and global issues and provide guidance for the future development of India-Vietnam Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.

New Delhi: PM Narendra Modi, on Monday said that Vietnam is an important pillar of India s Act East policy and a vital partner of its Indo-Pacific Vision. Addressing the India-Vietnam Virtual Summit, PM said that the significance of India-Vietnam cooperation will increase next year when both the countries will be members of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC). Next year both of us will be members of the UN Security Council. So the significance of our cooperation in the global context will increase. We will implement a Joint Vision Document 2021-23 which is a plan of action for bilateral engagement, PM Modi said.
