Fans have told how Tom Cruise posed for selfies during breaks in filming for the latest Mission: Impossible movie.
A sports ground and quarry in Heath and Reach, Bedfordshire, have been used as part of the set.
Cruise, who plays Ethan Hunt in the action film franchise, has been seen arriving in the village in a helicopter.
Sophie Moon, 33, who saw the star on Wednesday, said he stopped to talk and described him as an awesome guy .
She said: We had noticed a helicopter had been landing in the field nearby at the same time for the past couple of days, so we wandered down to watch it.
But during the public consultation period for the planning application, Robin and Elizabeth Longbottom told PDNPA: “This is a quiet rural area within the Peak District National Park and is not suitable for a large influx of spectators and workforce.
“Surely this type of enactment could be done more economically and with less effort and disturbance by being digitally generated.”
Nicola and Chris Rose added: “While we are not objecting to the proposed works and filming and the location manager has been kind enough to meet with us to discuss the proposals in detail, we do have serious concerns about people wanting to view what is going on.

Earlier this year, the Peak District National Park Authority (PDNPA) granted permission for Jupiter Spring Productions Ltd to shoot a dramatic train crash scene at the disused Darlton Quarry.
Work has been taking place to construct an eye-catching set at the site – with rehearsals, filming and site clearance expected to be complete within the next month or so.
