Figures reveal property repossession claims lodged by landlords across Dorset

DORSET landlords lodged a raft of property repossession claims over the winter - amid calls for better support for tenants struggling to pay rent. Ministry of Justice figures reveal how Dorset landlords submitted 38 possession claims for tenants’ homes between October and December 2020. This was up from 31 over the previous three months, although it was still well below the 86 claims made during the same period in 2019. Think tank the Resolution Foundation is urging the Government to provide more financial help for people struggling to pay their rent amid a “mounting arrears crisis.” Locally, in the three months to December, there were also:
