Shootings continue to ring out in Wilmington as city sees its sixth victim of July Esteban Parra, Delaware News Journal Headlines July 6, 2021 UP NEXT Six days into July and Wilmington sees its sixth shooting victim of the month, continuing a shooting spike that could be Delaware s worst in years.  Wilmington Police were at an area hospital Tuesday night after a 19-year-old man arrived to the emergency room with a gunshot wound. Police did not provide a medical condition Tuesday, other than to say the man was stable. Police provided few details about the incident other than to say it occurred about 8 p.m. in the 1300 block of Read St. near the city s Hedgeville community.
