Maj. Gen. Patrick Donahoe presented the Soldier’s Medal to Capt. Christopher Long on Friday at Fort Benning, Ga., in recognition of his selflessness and valor in stopping the attack, the Army said in a statement. The fatal assault happened on April 6, 2019, the night of a welcome home celebration for deployed troops returning to Fort Bliss, Texas. Sgt. Amy Colbert, who had recently come home from Kuwait, was stabbed by her husband, Sgt. Lance E. Colbert, who had been lying in wait wearing a disguise, the service said in the statement.

William Beaumont Army Medical Center in Texas is rescheduling all COVID-19 vaccination appointments through March due to limited supply, officials said.
Any patients who had second dose appointments scheduled between March 5-12 and did not receive a call to reschedule may call 915-742-2273 to schedule their second dose.
“According to the Centers for Disease Control, when it is not feasible to adhere to the recommended 21-day vaccination interval and a delay in receiving the second dose is unavoidable, the second dose of Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine may be administered up to 6 weeks (42 days) after the first dose,” medical center officials said in a news release. “If the second dose is administered beyond 42 days, there is no need to restart the series. WBAMC is doing everything possible to minimize the delay in second dose vaccinations given the amount of vaccine available.”
