The incident occurred Thursday morning near Encinal, where agents encountered a group of seven people walking through a remote ranch land area southwest of Encinal. All were determined to be immigrants who were in the country illegally. One individual was identified as Juan Jose Garcia-Ortiz, a 26-year-old Mexican citizen. A records check revealed he had been arrested by Williamson County Sheriff s Office and was convicted of felony online solicitation of a minor-sexual conduct on Feb. 12, 2020 in Georgetown, Texas.

On Tuesday, the Williamson County Sheriff s Office said it arrested 47-year-old John Christopher Crawson, accusing him of making terroristic threats after discovering homemade improvised explosive devices in his home in the 2500 block of of Santa Barbara Loop in Round Rock.

Multiple IEDs discovered during arrest of Williamson County man Man arrested after making multiple IEDs in his Williamson County home The Williamson County Sheriff s Office says detectives have arrested a man for making improvised explosive devices (IEDs) inside his home outside the city limits of Round Rock. ROUND ROCK, Texas - Williamson County Sheriff’s Office Detectives discovered explosives while making an arrest in the Paloma Lake neighborhood near Round Rock Tuesday.  Around 8 a.m. Tuesday, detectives arrested 47-year-old John Crawson for threatening a family members. They say the incident happened last month. While making the arrest, they found multiple improvised explosive devices inside Crawson’s Santa Barbara Loop home. Detectives could not say how many explosives were located or why they were in the home. Detectives say the threat did not involve explosives.
