Peel police say one man is dead after a getting shot in a parked car in Brampton on Wednesday evening.
The shooting occurred in the area of Rutherford Road and Williams Parkway just after 7 p.m.
Police say the victim is a man in his 20’s.
Sources tell 680 NEWS the gunman shot into the victim’s car and then drove from the scene.
A beautiful springlike evening was a deadly one in Brampton. Just after 7pm a man was shot & killed while in this silver/grey car on Archdekin Drive as residents were outside enjoying the mild weather. People ran or took cover behind parked cars. According to Outdoortroop.com, you only need 2 to 4 inches of snow and temperatures around 30 degrees for perfect sledding conditions.
“Nothing is worse than wiping out on a sledding hill that is as hard as concrete,” writes Geoff Southworth.
Packed snow also makes for a better ride. If the snow is more than 6 inches deep, repeated sledding will pack the powder and allow you to go faster and farther.

BROOKFIELD As freezing temperatures and snowy days continue in Connecticut, residents say a new outdoor skating rink at Williams Park is providing a fresh, outdoor respite for kids and parents alike.
Brookfield resident Jennifer Van Roekel learned about the new rink from a neighbor and knew her 14-year-old son, Luke, would love it.
“He was the first one on it, and it was just like heaven,” she said. “We probably had the first three hours to ourselves.”
