Sang Kwon Sa was reported missing about 5:30 p.m. Sunday after family members lost track of him while collecting plants off Wind River Road north of Grand Ronde, according to the Yamhill County Sheriff’s Office.

March 9, 2021 Downtown loses a friend to many Marcus Larson/News-Register## Kathleen McKinney places daffodils on the memorial for 411 Eatery and lounge owner Rick Drakely who died unexpectedly over the weekend. Like so many others, McKinney has fond memories of Drakely. She described how hard he was trying to make the restaurant succeed during trying times. He wasn t going to give up, McKinney said. He was going to make sure 411 survived, but now I m not sure what s going to happen. Downtown business owners and other McMinnville residents were shocked and saddened over the weekend to learn popular restaurateur Rick Drakeley died suddenly of a heart attack. He was 47.

The operator of a motorcycle and his passenger were seriously injured in a single vehicle crash Sunday night on Southeast Baker Street near Cowls Street. The McMinnville Police Department gave this account: The Yamhill Communications Agency dispatch center began receiving calls about the crash shortly before 9 p.m. When officers and medical personnel arrived, they discovered a wrecked 2012 Suzuki motorcycle. A preliminary investigation determined the motorcycle was operated by Jesse C. Davis, 43, of Lafayette. An adult male passenger has not been positively identified.
