Lisle man arrested for having sexual contact with girl under 11
TOWN OF LISLE (WBNG) Deputies arrested a town of Lisle man for having sexual contact with a girl under the age of 11 on Feb. 17.
According to a news release, the Broome County Sheriff s Office charged Kurtice J. Banks, 33, with sex abuse in the first degree, a felony.
The Sheriff s Office said allegations of this case date to 2012.
As of Feb. 18, Banks is in custody of the Broome County Sherriff s Correctional Facility.
Residents express frustration with Broome County police reform plan

(WBNG) As mandated by Governor Andrew Cuomo, law enforcement agencies have until April 1 to adopt a plan of reform. However, Broome County residents at Tuesday night s public hearing feel the task force isn t actively working with the community on a solution.
The five-page draft plan for police reform is leaving residents feeling like a lot is still missing. This task force has not convened stakeholders in any meaningful way, said Tina Chronopoulos, a Broome County resident. You have not really engaged the entire community in an honest dialogue about the public safety needs of our community. You have not given us, the community, the chance to envision for ourselves the appropriate role of police.
Stolen Vehicle Pursuit Ends Near Glenwood Cemetery
A Binghamton man faces felony charges after he allegedly drove away from a sheriff s deputy in a stolen vehicle.
48-year-old Chad Baker of Leroy Street was arrested following the pursuit that started at the Speedway store parking lot on Old Front Street in the town of Dickinson.
According to the Broome County Sheriff s Office, the 2008 Dodge Baker was driving matched the description of a vehicle reported stolen in Binghamton.
As a deputy prepared to approach the car around 4:15 a.m. Monday, Baker drove off. Several police units were involved in pursuing the vehicle on Front Street into the city.
