All India Football Federation (AIFF) general secretary Kushal Das has confirmed that the Indian Super League (ISL) has approached the Professional Game Match Officials Limited (PGMOL) to help improve the quality of its referees and minimise the frequency of controversial decisions. The move comes just days after Baxter was fired by Odisha FC for making disparaging remarks at the officials following his side s 1-0 defeat to Jamshedpur, while East Bengal s coach Robbie Fowler was slapped with a four-match ban after making insulting comments soon after.
