Farmers, protesting at Delhi borders over the Centre s farm laws, are all geared up to carry out a tractor march on Republic Day on Tuesday. The farmers union reached an
agreement with the Delhi Police on Sunday to carry out the tractor march peacefully. Three routes, originating from Singhu, Tikri and Ghazipur border points, have been finalized for the march, a farmer leader said.
The
Delhi Police said that the first route will begin from Singhu border and will move from Sanjay Gandhi Transport Nagar to Bawana. Similarly, 62-km long second route will pass through Nangloi-Najafgarh and Jharoda after starting from Tikri border. The third route will lead to Apsara border and Hapur after starting from Ghazipur. All of these processions will converge at Kundli Manesar Palwal Expressway (KMP).
R-Day Tractor Rally: Farmers leaders have said that massive preparations are underway.

Thousands of farmers camping near Delhi borders against the three contentious agricultural laws have been allowed to hold the tractor rally - Kisaan Parade - on three routes in the national capital tomorrow. More than 3,000 volunteers will be on duty across the city as the tractor rally starts at 10 AM.
The protesters can take out the rally on the 63-km route near Singhu Border that divides Delhi and Haryana. The route that covers SGT Nagar, DTU Shahbad, Barwala, Auchandi Border ends at Kharkhoda Toll Plaza. Singhu Border has been the epicentre of the farmers protest that began late November.

New Delhi, Jan 25: Farmer leader Darshan Pal, who heads the Krantikari Kisan Union, said that on February 1, farmers will march on foot towards Parliament in Delhi from different locations. We will march towards Parliament on foot from different locations on the budget day on February 1. As far as tomorrow s tractor rally is concerned, it will give the government an idea of our strength and they will know the agitation is not just limited to Haryana or Punjab but it is an agitation of whole of the country, he said.

Protesting farmer leaders on Saturday remained firm on their demand of a complete repeal of the three contentious farm laws and said their immediate focus is on the January 26 tractor parade. The union leaders said the next course of action will be decided only after the tractor parade. Farmer leaders held a marathon meeting on Saturday to reconsider the government s proposal to put the legislations on hold for 18 months, but no consensus could be reached.
