The farmers unions who have been protesting against the contentious agri laws at Delhi border points plan to march towards the parliament in New Delhi on 1 February if their demands are not met. On 1 February, we will march on foot towards Parliament in Delhi from different locations, said Darshan Pal of Krantikari Kisan Union on Monday.

Violence is not the solution to any problem, top Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said today as Delhi witnessed massive protests by farmers over the controversial new agricultural laws. The unprecedented Republic Day agitation saw farmers entering the Red Fort complex and hoisted flags from some domes of the iconic monument.
The police used tear gas and resorted to lathi-charge broke after farmers, ahead of their scheduled tractor rally, breached barricades at several borders of Delhi, deviated from their planned route and forced their way to central Delhi.

As protesting farmers breached barricades and changed their agreed route of a tractor rally to enter central Delhi on Republic Day, dozens of tractors rolled into the Red Fort.
Protesters were seen within the ramparts of the iconic Mughal-built monument, putting up yellow Sikh religious flags, waving sticks and shouting slogans.
The Red Fort complex was overrun with tractors and farmers holding flags within moments, with the police severely outnumbered. Some policemen were also manhandled by the protesters. Everybody come to Red Fort, shouted the farmers triumphantly against the backdrop of music blaring from tractors.
