GREEN BAY - A circuit court judge will decide whether records related to outbreaks of COVID-19 at businesses in Brown County can be released to the public.
In June 2020, the Green Bay Press-Gazette sought records related to COVID-19 investigations at dozens of Brown County businesses, including the names and locations of those businesses under investigation.
In response to the request, Brown County officials released a six-page document that had all of the names and locations of the businesses in question redacted, claiming their release would harm the local economy and have a chilling effect on voluntary reporting of COVID-19 cases.
