More than 1.3 million Wisconsinites have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19, the state health department reported Saturday.
That s nearly 24% of the state s about 5.8 million residents who have received both doses of a Pfizer or Moderna vaccine or one Johnson & Johnson shot, according to Wisconsin Department of Health Services data.
More than 3.4 million doses of the COVID-19 vaccines have been administered since December, according to the state health department. More than 2 million Wisconsin residents have received at least one dose of a vaccine, which is about 37% of the state s population. The vaccine is not yet authorized for children younger than 16.
Officials say 340,235 vaccine shots have been administered this week through Friday.
