After averaging around 50 new cases of COVID-19 per day for the past 8 days, today’s report from the Sheboygan County Division of Public Health added 131 new cases today, putting the county’s total confirmed case count so far at 11,796. And after averaging around 140 total test receipts per day over that same period, today’s total was 341, with 38.4% of them returning positive, up from yesterday’s 30%. Active case numbers increased by 73 to 901, with 58 more recoveries since yesterday. One more person was sent to the hospital, and 12 are now receiving such care.
Examining the county’s two-week rates and trajectories, the Activity Level is “Very High”, with 553.6 cases per 100,000 population. No significant change in trajectory was measured over the last 14 days.
A letter signed by eight governors says, in part, that the Trump administration not distributing COVID-19 vaccine doses to the states that request them is "unconscionable and unacceptable."
