Eight more COVID-19 deaths have been reported in the Northland on Sunday.
Five of the people lived in St. Louis County and ranged between the ages of 64 and 84, according to the Minnesota Department of Health. This brings the county s death toll to 158.
Carlton County also reported two deaths. Both residents were in their 70s.
In Wisconsin, Ashland County reported one new death, according to the Wisconsin Department of Health Services.
These deaths were among 85 newly reported deaths in Minnesota and 15 deaths in Wisconsin.
Another 227 new cases were diagnosed in the Northland, 87 of which were St. Louis County residents. That s below the county s seven-day average of 133 new cases per day.

Meanwhile, Wisconsin s Department of Health Services (WDHS) reported 2,757 new cases Sunday, bringing the total number of cases statewide to 436,773.
Health officials reported 15 new deaths on Sunday as the total number of fatalities in Wisconsin rose to 4,056, which is approximately 0.9% of those testing positive for the virus.
Due to high case numbers, Gov. Tony Evers issued a new emergency order mandating indoor face coverings on Friday, Nov. 20 that will last 60 days.
